Disney's Pop Century Resort
With its eye-catching, larger-than-life icons scattered throughout the resort, Walt Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a great choice for Disney vacationers. One of the value resorts in Walt Disney World, it is designed to give budget-minded families the full Disney experience while stretching their vacation dollar.
It is safe to say there is no other resort like the Pop Century. With a twentieth-century theme, the resort is divided by decades and marked by huge figures and items that represent the 50’s, 60’s 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Be sure to look for Lady and the Tramp from the 50’s and the massive computer - complete with Disney updates - in the 90’s section.
Each of the resort’s 2880 rooms offers a comfortable place to rest, relax and unwind after a day of park hopping. Measuring in at 260 square feet, the rooms feature either two double beds or one king bed, a television, table and chairs plus a standard bathroom with a tub/shower combo. High speed wireless internet and mini-refrigerators are available for an extra charge. Laundry areas are also on hand for guests.
The prominent dining option at Pop Century is the large Everything Pop Food Court. Combined with the resort’s extensive gift shop, the food court offers up many choices from morning until night. Also available to resort guests is the Peace of Pizza delivery service which will bring fresh, hot pies to any room with just a call. For pool-side indulgences, check out the Petals pool bar.
Speaking of pools, there are three for guest use in Pop Century: the Bowling Pin pool in the 50’s section, the Hippy Dippy pool in the 60’s section and the Computer Pool in the 90’s section. There is also a wading pool area featuring Goofy designed with little tykes in mind.
If you’re looking for further on-site entertainment, then check out the Fast Forward Arcade. Conveniently located central to the resort, the arcade is a fun way to help pass the time during a rainy afternoon.
Of course, being a Disney resort guest has its perks. Extra guest-only hours at the parks are a great benefit as is access to the Disney transportation system. A twenty minute or less bus ride will deliver guests to any Disney park.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a sure bet to maximize fun and value when visiting Walt Disney World.
